T minus two days until we leave Seattle. I've realized that Joe and I are both a little bit procrastinistic (well, it should be a word) and we are now struggling to get everything done in time for the movers to get here tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. We still have quite a bit to pack! And about a million loads of laundry to do, which we know won't get done because it takes literally 3 hours to do one load of laundry at my apartment. Is it so bad to pack dirty laundry and send it with the movers? We will probably find out.
Ava and Jackson just can't figure out what's going on. They keep following us around as we pack each room and it's really sad, because I feel like they are worried we're going to leave them behind. They probably think the last time they saw their families packing up, they were left at a shelter all alone. We keep telling them that they will be coming with us, that they are actually the reason we're driving and not flying, and the reason we're selling Joe's truck and buying a car. They just don't know how much our lives revolve around those sweet faces.
We are heading out to dinner with friends tonight. Going to do wine tasting at the Tasting Room and then dinner at the Pink Door. It will be such a nice Seattle-esque night. I'm going to miss Seattle, and I'm really going to miss my friends. That is the hard part about leaving.
